Homeland Expands Drilling to Central Area of Coyote Basin Uranium System

Five additional reverse circulation holes, CB-RC-0043 to CB-RC-0047, have been completed at the 100%-owned Coyote Basin uranium project in northwestern Colorado, bringing Phase II drilling to about 3,777 metres (12,392 feet) of the planned 5,300 metres (17,388 feet), or roughly 71%. Southern holes extended a horizon of elevated radioactivity measuring about 1,000 metres east-west by 600 metres north-south at 50-100 metres depth. Drilling has moved to the central area near the historical WMR resource, where probe results show elevated radioactivity from surface to about 50 metres. Eight additional reverse circulation drillholes, CB-RC-0035 to CB-RC-0042, have been completed in the Phase II program at the 100%-owned Coyote Basin Uranium Project in northwestern Colorado, confirming elevated radioactivity over an area of approximately 1,000 m by 600 m that remains open for expansion. Anomalous radioactivity occurs typically 50 to 100 m below surface in shales, claystones and fine-grained sandstones of the Upper Member of the Fort Union Formation. About 3,400 m of the planned 5,300 m, or 64%, is complete; samples were shipped to SGS Laboratories in Lakefield, Ontario.

Homeland Confirms Southward Continuity of Anomalous Radioactivity at the Coyote Basin Uranium Project

Six additional reverse circulation holes (CB-RC-0029 to CB-RC-0034), drilled at 200 m spacings on an east-west fence about 200 m south of the previous section, show southward continuity of an anomalous radiometric horizon at the 100%-owned Coyote Basin Uranium Project in northwestern Colorado, part of a Phase II program totaling approximately 5,300 metres. Anomalous radioactivity is now drill defined over roughly 1,000 m by 200 m and remains open in all directions. Samples were sent to SGS Lakefield; drilling pauses over Christmas and resumes in the New Year.

Initial Drilling at Coyote Basin Shows Radioactivity Correlating to Historical Drilling

The first six of 35 planned reverse circulation holes have been completed in the Phase II program at the 100%-owned Coyote Basin Uranium Project in northwestern Colorado, part of roughly 5,300 m (17,000 ft) of planned drilling. Downhole spectral gamma logging in holes CB-RC-0023 to CB-RC-0028 showed elevated radioactivity at 50–100 m depth correlating with horizons from 1979 drilling, with hole CB-RC-0023 showing further zones between 220 and 320 metres. Samples from each 5 ft interval go to SGS Lakefield, as assays are required to determine uranium grades given possible disequilibrium.
