What the Prospector's Property Exchange is

The exchange is a listing board where prospectors and small property holders offer mineral claims, leases and exploration properties directly to the people who fund and develop them: junior mining companies, private investors and other prospectors. There is no broker in the middle. A listing shows the property, the terms the owner is open to, and the technical work done so far; an interested party sends an inquiry and the two sides deal with each other directly.

Listing is free for prospectors, with no limit on the number of properties. Browsing is open to everyone. Sending an inquiry or posting a listing needs a free account, which is how inquiries reach a real person rather than a spam filter.

What can be listed

A listing describes the ground and the deal. The board accepts Mineral Claim, Mining Lease, Fee Simple, Option Agreement and Exploration Permit, offered as outright sale, option to purchase, joint venture, lease. Each listing carries the location down to the province or state, the size in hectares, the primary mineral, the exploration stage, access, whether a technical report exists, the asking price or an "open to offers" flag, and any maps, assay results and photographs the owner uploads.

How a listing works

Create a prospector profile. Your name or company, experience, regions you work and any certifications. Buyers see it alongside every listing you post.

Post the property. Location, size, minerals, stage, the work done, the documents you hold, and the terms you are open to. Listings are reviewed before they go live so the board stays free of duplicates and spam.

Field inquiries. Interested parties write to you through the listing. Messages land in your inbox on the site and by email; you decide who to answer and on what terms.

Close the deal yourselves. The exchange introduces the parties. Purchase, option or joint-venture agreements are between you and the buyer, with your own lawyers.

Before you buy or option a property

A claim is only worth what the ground under it holds and what it costs to find out. Check the claim status and expiry with the provincial or state registry, confirm who holds surface and mineral rights, read any historical assessment reports, and treat sampling results as a reason to drill rather than a resource.
