Purepoint Uranium CEO says utility contracting set to drive next Uranium market surge

In an interview with Proactive, CEO Chris Frostad said many U.S. utilities bought uranium in the mid-to-high US$50 per pound range last year while spot traded in the high US$80s, due to flexibility provisions in older long-term contracts, with major producers reporting realized prices in the high US$60s. He expects contracting to accelerate as legacy contracts expire. Frostad said Purepoint remains active in exploration and drilling and is well-funded.
