CopperEx is a copper and gold exploration company focused on porphyry Cu-Au exposure in Chile and Peru on world class mineral belts between producing mines with 2 highly prospective properties. Highlights At Kio Buggy there is visual evidence of atelescoped porphyryin reverse circulation (“RC”) drill cuttings (Kio Target; Figure 1). These observations suggest that epithermal and porphyry magmatic hydrothermal systems are superimposed which is an important feature observed in high primary sulphide (hypogene) grade porphyry copper deposits globally. Kio Buggy, airborne magnetic geophysics, geological mapping, rock geochemistry and historical diamond drilling suggest there are two concentrically zoned (alteration) preserved porphyry centers with bulk minable copper-gold potential (Kio and Buggy) that are separated by a three-kilometer segment of reactive calcareous sedimentary rocks (ATC Target) with CRD (Carbonate Replacement Deposit) potential. A recent geological field campaign was completed to de-risk drill targets planned for Kio, ATC and Buggy.
Active mining projects and exploration sites
Kio Buggy comprises 100% owned exploration licenses covering 5,325 hectares with no attached royalty or underlying owners. The project is located within the Paleocene metallogenic belt between BHP’s Spence and Cerro Colorado Mines with an annual combined copper production exceeding 300,000 tons. The project is situated at an average elevation of 1,800 meters and approximately 40 kilometres southeast of Quillagua.…
The 100% owned La Rica property comprises 17,700 hectares covered by 100% owned licenses with no attached royalty. Located in the Apurimac Province, La Rica is positioned 80 kilometres southwest of Cuzco, 45 kilometres northwest of the Las Bambas Mine and approximately 30 kilometres southwest of Cotabambas. This strategic location within the prolific southern Peru skarn belt positions the project favourably for potential synergies and opportunities, promising a robust foundation for exploration and future endeavours in the mining sector.
