Step 1
At 7 AM ET the software visits every company's website and files each new press release. Industry media is read three times a day, metal prices twice, and share prices at every close. 18,842 releases so far; the latest was filed today, 7:37 AM ET.
Step 2
Each release is fetched in full, split into passages and indexed for meaning, not just keywords: 302,290 passages today. Technical reports get the same treatment, so a 400-page NI 43-101 is searchable down to the page. 4,882 documents and 393 resource estimates are on file.
Step 3
Every release with a readable body gets a two- or three-sentence summary written by Claude, numbers kept exactly as stated: 12,734 so far; each morning's new releases are summarised the following morning, once their full text has been fetched overnight. They appear on the news pages and on every company profile.
Step 4
When you ask Socrates a question, he searches those passages, reads the best matches and answers from them, naming the companies, releases and reports it drew on. The investor tools compute from the same tables; the briefings and the weekly snapshot are compiled from them.
Why the schedule matters: a press release announced at 9 AM is in the library by the next morning’s crawl, summarised the morning after, and searchable through Ask Socrates from then on. Nothing here is described as real-time, because it is not; it is daily, and the timestamps on the engine card above show when each part last ran.
